Hi! I’m Samantha.
I’m a wearer of many artistic hats - actor, singer/songwriter, musician, dueling piano player, and chef (only according to my husband.) When I’m not acting or in a show, you may catch me playing dueling pianos around NYC at venues like Haswell Green’s or Bar Nine, or playing solo at The Friki Tiki.
I graduated from Montclair State University with a BFA in Musical Theater in 2016. Just after graduation, I went onto play Princess Jasmine in Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan, and later that year to work for Disney Cruise Line onboard the Disney Wonder playing Anne-Marie in Disney Dreams, understudying Anna in Frozen, and playing multiple princesses in The Golden Mickeys.
When I moved to NYC, I acted in many commercials for brands like Dannon, Tic Tac, Outback Steakhouse, Zicam, Walmart, and more. I went on to play Lucille in the National Tour of Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide based on the Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Park. Regionally, I’ve worked at Round House Theatre, Geva Theatre, Florida Repertory Theater, Summer Theatre of New Canaan, and in New York City at The Tank, Symphony Space, Astoria Performing Arts Center, and more.
Just last year, I played Chava Kanipshin, the “Scrooge” in the world premiere of a new musical, A Hanukkah Carol or Gelt Trip! The Musical at the Round House Theatre just outside of Washington D.C., directed by Marlo Hunter. We got a mention in the New York Times, and some great reviews by the Washington Post.
As a songwriter, you can check out my first single, “Take Care of Me,” now streaming on all platforms.
Reviews
“… performed by the sensational triple threat, Samantha Sayah…”
- Mary Lincer, Broadway World
“Ms. Sayah portrays Norman Petty’s wife, Vi (which you suspect must be short for vivacious.)”
-Nancy Stetson, Florida Weekly
“The story centers on Allison (Samantha Sayah, who carries this movie and proves to be an excellent comedic actress...)
- Mat DeKinder, Film Critic
“Samantha Sayah, who plays Girl is very compelling in the role of a Czech immigrant... Sayah shows a wide emotional range throughout the show as her character battles between head and heart. Sayah's Czech accent is consistent from dialogue to song, aiding in Girl's trademark bluntness and dry humor. Sayah has a beautiful, lilting voice as well, and executes perfect harmonies in many of the numbers.”
